Three siblings from Mississippi, as we gathered around the dining table and discussed who would prepare a meal to nourish our family and loved ones, our grandmother and father instructed us in the art of providing sustenance infused with care, warmth, and the essence of togetherness. The act of serving food creates an atmosphere of relaxation, fosters unity, and instills a sense of brotherhood. This is the purpose for which I was chosen, and it is a responsibility that I have fulfilled for the past 14 years as a licensed cook, constantly striving to expand my community and satisfy the souls of those I serve.
